Mortor+Brick store

I;. sure this is a question of futility, but is there any place (store) that I can see a M15X in person? A Dell store( do they even exist?)? A Walmart? Silly, I know, I just wanted to ask anyway.

I'm in the US, Chicagoland area.

The only store that you'll be able to see any of Alienware's laptops in in the US is the Alienware retail store in Florida.

where? i go to best buy for the hell of it at times and i have yet to see an AW in one of them thus far...

No brick and Mortar stores in the U.S sell AWs. There are some in Austrailia tho. the reason they dont see it in brick and mortar stores in the u.s is because of the price of the. how many people are willing to pay 2500+ for a laptop. Alienware has a plan that will allow stores to sell their laptops. they have to meet a certain quota every month, and they have to buy a certain number of their units every months. they also must have one on display at all times. The Brick and Mortar stores dont think they can meet this requirement so they dont go into the plan. There wont be an AW at best buy, Walmart, Costco, etc. Yea long explanation but the only place you can see it is at a convention where Dell has a booth or try to look for a friend. If all else fails sit at a college campus and im sure one will show up eventually.

 

see, thats what i figured and heard before, i was just thinking maybe someone decided to take em on...lol

and no offense, but if i am going to sit at a college campus, an AW laptop would not be high on my list of things to look for....
(although, a very close second...)

the chance an AW will show up on a college campus is quite small, but if you cant find anyone that has an AW its the only place to go. i dont think alot of working people will carry an AW. its mostly college kids who play games in class like me . even the school i go to i have seen very little AWs. and my school requires all students to have laptops.

I go to Polytechnic Institute of NYU.

i doubt you would be looking at my AW. I see people there bring the HP HDX. I dont even how they are willing to carry that thing around. I bet you would probably look at the person with the HDX. i know i was even looking at that HDX.

 

AW had a display tractor trailer rig that had been traveling around to certain computer shows. It was just a traveling display case where you could try out the machines but not take one home, you could order it but that was it. I think it is still traveling around.

but i very much doubt that as much as i like high tech stuff, i would be "eyeing" laptops....

 

the HDX has one of the hugest hinges for a notebook in the back of the lcd. its a 20.1 inch monster laptop. it would be impossible for you not to notice it.

I've seen some Dell outlets showing off AW computers and notebooks. When you order there you still need to do it through the website though.
