Hi Guys -
I just had to my 1st hard reboot with my new M17x. I was trying to use wordpad and save to a disk. And it just wouldnt close, even in task manager it would not close. Then I tried notepad, which frooze then to. Then I tried to eject the disk, when right clicked on the drive, it frooze then to.
Question: Is there a reason why this did this? Is this a windows problem? I know wordpad is junk, but didnt think it would freeze up on me and make my computer all weird.
Note: I also had like 15 internet explorer pages up as well, the 32 bit version of IE. Since I have a 64 bit processor, should I be using the 64 bit IE? Could this of caused this?
Thanks Guys

Welcome to the wonderful world of windows lol.

You should use 64-bit IE for sure. Heck you shouldn't use IE at all, try Firefox or Opera. I remember trying to use 32-bit internet explorer the first time I had a 64-bit system, and it got all messed up.

Whether or not you should use 32-bit IE depends on whether or not you have a 32-bit operating system. To check whether you have 32-bit or 64-bit, go to Control Panel, then in Classic View click on System. Under the 'System' area in the middle, right under processor information it should say either 32-bit Operating System or 64-bit Operating System.
If your operating system is 64-bit then you need 64-bit IE. If your operating system is 32-bit it will only run 32-bit IE.

Thanks guys, i was so confused on the IE. I have 64 bit OS.
This may explain to my other post about Java installation giving me a Blue screen. I installed the 32 bit, I never could figure out what was the problem. So I reinstalled the 32 bit java and worked??? But I guess I will have to unistall the java once again to get the 64 bit java.
Thanks guys once again -
