So with my travel time and workload increasing as of late, I wasn't getting much use out of my desktop and my AW14 was a little too big for my briefcase and left more performance to be desired. I was propositioned for a trade that I took this morning. I want to know your thoughts as I feel as if I got the better deal, plus it's exactly what I need. The two laptops in my signature are what I got in the trade, minus the BenQ. What I traded were my Alienware 14 containing: i7 4700mq, 765m, 1080p IPS, 256GB Vertex 4, 240GB m500 mSATA, and 16gb 1600mhz . My desktop was as followed: i7 3770k, ASUS Z77 Sabertooth, 16GB 1866mhz ram, EVGA GTX 780 Classified, 512GB Samsung 840 PRO, 2x 1T HDD's, Corsair 600T case, and H100i cooler. The W110ER is perfect for my briefcase and I can use my 18 back at the hotel. Also the m18xR2 has complete care warranty until early 2016 still. The trade was an even swap from a local gamer I met via craigslist.

You got both of those systems for an Alienware 14? Damn good deal. Why do you even have to ask? :D

Oh... Well, in that case, I'd say the deal is pretty equal. But, I think he got a little bit of a better deal than you.

The M18x is a killer machine, though. And it has warranty until 2016, which is always good. You did well.

I think you got a great deal.
THe m18xr2 is a beast that can be upgraded many times over to stomp many desktops.

the 11 incher is a great machine... its very much like the m11x, but more updated.. I love my m11xs.

I have to ask but why ask after the deal is done and not before? If you are happy, be happy, but the deal is done now.

To rationalize myself after the fact. I'm not normally impulsive with my things.

I think it was a pretty fair deal. Plus now you have 2 machines you definitely will use all the term and meet your needs. I probably would have a similar setup but I cant be bothered to look after 2 computers, so just the M17X R4 for me. A bit heavy and cumbersome but Its portable enough.

The 680m SLI will be plenty for future games too. The 780 and 880m havent been a huge improvement. Probably wont see one until the fabrication process gets better.
