Hey all, I have always found these forums very useful so i figured i would post here for some help from the alienware reps.

I have a m9700 i bought in dec of 2006 so it is now two years old. The computer has been sent in twice for repair(the first being as soon as recieved it). I have a warranty and sent the computer in for its third round of repairs over three weeks ago. The casing has problems due to high heat, the battery has no charge to it, the cd/dvd drive does not load anything, there is a loose connection somewhere inside the monitor that causes a distortion in the lcd that can be fixed with a wiggle of the screen. The screen itself is very lose and wobbles back and forth.

Alienware has given me the run around on the repairs saying that they are waiting on parts and that they do not know when they will get them from whoever they buy from. I am in my final semester of my undergrad at my university and need a notebook for class. I had to go out and buy an asus to use for school. Alienware sold me a lemon and refuses to replace it. Its obvious that the computer has never and will never live up to what was promised and expected. The customer support has been rude and uncaring as if they think that my situation is funny. I would just like the computer actually be fixed or replaced with anything...and i mean i would take an older model that is new or something like the m15.

Thank you for reading my post and i can supply any alienware rep with additional information and account numbers via PM!

    - Jared Hensley

Alienware support is a joke, I dont even know why they call it "support". Basicly you are dealing with some people who side at a computer in India and they have to type in and see what to do. If you still have the onsite warranty, make them come out and fix your machine. Dont take no for any type of an answer. make the service tech stay ther untill the machine is fixed. Thats what I have had to do in the past.

I've been through this kind of stuff with Alienware a lot and my recommendation is to call the roswell crew. (I forget the number though... it's in someone's sig).

I know this has been asked few times before but I'm still going to ask again:
Does the Alienware UK have something like Roswell Crew? If so, does anyone have their contact info, just in case for future use?

    Thanks!

Roswell is, so to speak, unique. no dice for us European customers. well, we can call them, but not for free.

LMAO. Id bet he'd never want to be on their payroll. M$ is worth more ;)
Jokes apart, I find it pretty offensive that everyone assumes that all Customer support centres are based in India. I mean, I'd love for Alienware to be here, but sometimes it gets derogatory like in the context the guy spoke in.
Sorry for going offtopic - Had to speak my mind this time.

true. at any rate, AW's support centers are in Costa Rica and Ireland, while Roswell is somewhere in the USA, the exact location is unknown for good reasons. "weather balloons" have been frequently seen in the area you know...

He only has two posts... I think as a protection option on the forums, new users (perhaps less than 20 posts?) cannot send PMs.

this helps keep the spammers out.

15 posts is the requirement to private message. You will not instantly be able to PM at 15 posts; the server job that moves users to a different usergroup does not run every hour.
