My m15x has just arrived this afternoon. Took DHL only 2 days to ship it from Ireland.

    The specs are as follows:
    2.5Ghz Processor
    8800 M GTX Graphics Card
1Gb of RAM ( will be upgrading to 4 Gb )
    320 Gb Hard Drive
    Glossy Screen/ Ripley Design

Now, as for initial problems I spotted:

    1. There is a small scratch below the big alien head behind the LCD
    2. The touch keys did not work, the first time after waking up from sleep. Though it did work after trying it again, I will be monitoring this
    3. The creaking is there, as for the wobbliness , it does wobble a bit.
    4. I was not given an identification card along with the system. Also did not receive the ones with benchmark tests.

Now as for the good first impressions:

    1. The touchpad--> I was very annoyed with it at first, but after placing the sticker it became very responsive
    2. The keyboard --> Very responsive keyboard, no lag, no keys popping off, very nice lighting
    3. Windows Vista --> This is my first time using Vista but I'm liking it so far
    4. Volume Slider --> I had no problems with using the volume slider.

As of now, I'm very satisfied with the system. :)

To any of the Alienware representatives on the forum, I would like to know how you guys would be able to send me the ID card. If there are any details you need from me please let me know.

I will try to answer any questions you guys have about the system :)

Oh, would it be possible for you guys to post what programs I need to run the different benchmarks and temperatures?

    Thanks :)

The benchmarks results can be found in a document that is on your desktop, it is called something "AW blabla" :D

Hope it all works out for you! Scratches are annoying, i feel for you. And hopefully you will have no problems with the touch controls, mine works fine except volume slider.
