My laptop was making some beep beep noice when I was using it in the middle of the class. It sounds like those noice it make on boot up if something like ram, is not correctly installed, but not as loud as that.

I am sure it is not because of the low battery, because when I check, it still have 100% for the main battery and 56% for the SB battery.
Also, it only happen on battery mode.

Is it the noise that happens on old computers when you press several keys at once?

where's the noise coming from? can you localize it (i.e. optical drive/bottom left, HDD/bottom right, CPU/top left, GPU/top right)?

yea, for some reason my laptop used to do something like that too, randomly it would give off a sound like something is booting (only happens once per boot) but nowadays it doesn't do that.

but the performance would not be affected.

My acer laptop intermittently makes a noise similar to that as well but it just seems to fix itself and does not affect performance in any way either so I would not be too worried about it unless it is happening very frequently

I am using vista, the the noice is probably come from the motherboard.
I am not sure on this one,but it definitely not from the speaker.
    and yes
it does sounds like the noice from boot up or when you press several keys at the same time
but it is not as loud as that
    and it is annoying
because it does that in the middle of class...

    In the ThemoFan app
I found some interesting temperature reading:
    CPU Temp: 57
    System Temp: 15 ???
    VGA Skin Temp: 2 ?????

    VGA Internal Temp: 62
    This is on battery mode...

Sorry to hear about this issue...Does it happen at boot or in windows only? If you have not done this, Try one battery at a time by just having one installed. Any recent programs/application you may have installed as well, to monitor heat, etc. Please let us know and feel free to send me a PM.

    Thank you.

It happen in window during battery operation.
    and it happen randomly
but it does happen when there is only one battery installed
so it doesn't seen like a battery related problem

    and for the temperature
I will check it tomorrow when I bring it to school
