    This has already been covered and discussed, the GTX 280M and GTX 260M are still more powerful than any of these new cards, the only advantage these cards have is dx10.1 and a much lower TDP.

    Yes, but you can also over clock the GTX's, that and the extra stream processors on the GTX 260M and GTX 280M should keep them ahead without problems.

    lol, I am a looser? you bought over priced raid hard drives, blu-drive and qx9300 and overpriced by a ton 6gb of ram, you could get much less elsewhere. GF

    and i just berated JBBW for his comment...
    you consider it overpriced...as do others i admit....but he bought what he wanted.
    i think bently's are ugly and WAY overpriced as well, but i dont belittle someone who has one...it was thier choice and obviuosly they can afford it.

    These releases are not a big deal to me, and I'm sure most would feel the same as I do, there is no feeling of the M17x or the 260M and 280M being obsolete..

    I'm more interested in the GT200 based chip with a 256bit mem bus and GDDR5, and I'm quite sure it'll be on the upgrade path for the M17x.

    Urgh! No matter what you buy it will be outdated within months or even weeks. Soon there will be USB 3, New processors, new graphics etc...same applies to all goods, there will always be something new around the corner.

    I am always happy with what I purchase at the time of purchase...
