    Are they the same across all of the current models? I'm looking at getting an m14x, but I already have a custom plate on my m11x. Can I just order a generic "m11x" plate on my m14x and swap them?

    Im quite sure that all the AW models has the same size on the nameplates.

    You can measure the dimentions of the m11x nameplate, and ask people in the m14x subforum to do the same. By doing that, you will know to a 100% if the nameplates are the same on the m14x and m11x.

    Well, maybe he want to sell the laptop back so then he might not have to bother about the nameplate since it is not in his name or whatever character print in there.

    The Dell rep Chris was helping people get nameplates but I dont think he is in that position anymore. I emailed my rep earlier and he hasnt answered yet.

    but the stock m14x name plate actually says m14x on it. so if you put that on the m11x to sell it will look wierd coz it says m14x lol

    He's buying an M14x, yes, but he can also customize that nameplate to say "M11x". He would then switch the two nameplates.

    It's a funny mindf&ck if you did that on an M18x...

    I bought an M11x R-3 for my fiance a couple of weeks ago and the nameplate is the same size as my M17x R-2.
