    My new M17x is called 'Tron' because it looks like Tron

    I name all my computers after Transformers characters, and my network SSID is Cybertron. As I already had an Optimus and Ultra Magnus, I needed a bigger transformer for the M17xR2...so I settled on calling it Omnicron....

    at that time no. but the CF-series has shockmount cages with heaters for hard drives, and can make a mechanical drive take ALOT of abuse. she has an SSD in it now.

    One of my all time favorite strategy games was Homeworld. So I named my M17xR2 "Mothership".

    My wife calls hers 'Cosmic Gourd' because of the bright green and purple light theme she made . . .

    Mine, I called it 'AnalProbe' as a joke and it stuck (my wife had originally made a joke about the price and said it was definitely alien since it feels like our bank account was probed).

    i may have to consider this. I usually just name my systems with a CPU-OS formatted name. I did name one laptop 'HP LaserJet' back in my wardriving days. The SSID for my WiFi at home is 'DonkeyShow' for my neighbors to enjoy.
