It's been nearly a year since i have had my m15x with:

    8800M GTX
    T9300
    120gb Harddrive

And it has been over a year since i have been on these forums, and i am getting a little bit nostalgic waiting with others for my laptop to come.

I thought i would get a lot of gaming out of it, But i have not, My total gaming hours over the year is about.. 30 hours, give or take. I haven't touched it in 2 month's and my mum now uses it for facebook and what have you, i payed just over 1,400 pounds for it ( $3,800 ).

I have also been getting a lot of problems with it recently, All the rubber grips have come off, it seems to be falling apart ( when you use it, you sometimes need to click it back together, And the plastic or whatever it is made out of is coming apart ).

When i got it, the screen was a bit shaky and loose, but now it's nearly at the point of falling down, I mean a slight nudge and it wobbles erratically.

The software also seems to be acting strange, A reformat would probably fix it, But the stealth touch button seems to be acting up ( When bright the fan is loud, when dim the fan is quiet, Seems to be the opposite of what it should ) And the Alienware control centre doesn't work at all.

I might start to use it again, The hardware is getting old and i really want to get the most i can out of it before it becomes useless which sadly, might be 2010.

My question adding to the post is, If i called Alienware, do you think they would fix all/most of my problems? I need new rubbers on the screws, without them the plastic is scratching, The screen is loose as ever and the plastic is coming apart.

yep warranty they will. I'd do a reinstall I just did and its like its new again. I've still had no physicall issues (cracked hinges etc) my machine is about 8 months old now. still plan on keeping it three years before upgrading

Well, I have it for nearly a year now aswell and plastics are still in place :) But I feel that the hinge will give up after a few more months :D Since I'm going to use it for probably another year or so, I will extend my warranty. It's still one of the most powerfull 15inches after a year! You have to agree that's impressive.

I also feel that I should clean it all :D Since I'm lazy plastics and keyboard are all kinda covered in grease, not nice.
