I bought my m15x from the UK, and I would like a copy of the x34 bios to keep just in case my upgrade to the new x36 bios is unsatisfactory.

MyHive in Alienware UK is pretty much useless, and I can't find the x34 bios there :(

Anybody care to share? Thanks in advance.

You better keep x32 :) x34 is again problematic.

Now the choice is yours which BIOS you want to have, you can download all three recent BIOS here

BIOS UPDATE x32 - highly recommended
BIOS UPDATE x34 - not recommended
BIOS UPDATE x36 - worth giving a shot, if you have some problem which AW claims that they are fixed

x34 is definitely in the european myhive, unless they've already pulled it for x36.

Cant say ive ever had any bios updates put into myhive.. all i see is v1018 of cc, along with the ancient gfx drivers and wifi too. The yanks get much more updated goodies.

@ vindvikas: thanks, but doesn't x32 turn the m15x into an oven?
@ whizzo: I couldn't find it in myhive UK, it's usually pretty much useless

Only if you have the extreme processor. X32 runs fine with anything below that. I would recommend using X32 also.

What are the disadvantages of x32?

A disadvantage of the x32 bios is the unresponsive touch controls. But this has been minimalized with the CC update.

I have the extreme. still runnin hot on me tho. i have the x36 bios and i would like my GPU fan to kick in alot sooner. It runs about 50% of its potential before the video card temp hit 80C then it kicks in full-on. Is there a bios that will allow that???? Or a program?
