    Need advice on selling my Alienware M15x

    Apologies if I am posting in the wrong forum - first time here :)

    Now, I am a complete tech newbie, so bare with me, but I have been in possession of a Alienware M15x since 2009 and have decided to part ways with it.

    I was hoping you could provide me some help with selling used Alienwares!

    The specs:

    • Alienware M15x Silver (bought in UK)
    • Warranty until Nov 2013
    • 1920x1080 display
    • Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU
    • NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M
    • DDR3 SDRAM 4GB

    Everything is working fine, except the Optical drive, which I will be replacing soon through Dell.

    Questions:
    1. How much can I expect to get from this system?
    2. Should I get the laptop completely serviced by Dell prior to selling?
    3. I have sensitive information on this laptop, what's the best way to ensure laptop is completely wiped prior to selling?
    4. Where's the best place to sell my alienware given that I'm from the UK?

    *Open the listing on an international level to generate more interest providing the buyer covers shipping.
    *List the warranty in all sale titles to attract more attention (it is transferable to most countries; you can fill out an online form, takes 15 bus. days to process).
