    Need help after reinstalling WIN 7 OS on M17X

    Hi all

    I need help on some certian issues after reintalling the Win 7 OS and I did a fresh reintall.

    1) how to get the alienware themes and the wallpaper back as I cannot find it on the resource CD

    2) how to reinstall back the function after boot up which we use to press on F10 to get back the orginal factory settings using the alienrespawn CD

    Do you have R1 or R2? My R2 don't come with Respawn Disc so i'm in the same boat as you are, but the R1's should come with the RS disc v2.0 or you can download then from the dell website.

    Thanks bro for the info sad to say I have the RS disc V2.0 but it cannot be used.

    That why I did a fresh install of my OS from fresh.

    Hay AlienContact you should gotten the resource disk. They forgot to put with my system the Windows 7 cd in lol.

    Hmm, is there anyway I can get one? Would the RS v2.0 work with just any M17x R2's? I added a SSD in and had to format with the Windows 7 Disc. Then installed the device disc there after.

    You need to call alienware and let one of the representatives send you a zip file with all the wallpapers that came with your computer. This includes avatars and stuff.

    My respawn thing neve shows up after i did a clean install to win 7 from vista. i don't know fi thats what you did to start off with or if you have always had 7, but from what i read online, you can't get the respawn from vista to work with 7. if im wrong, please correct me.
