Hi, i have a Dual ATI 4850 with 9.11 catalyst drivers. The problem I'm having now is I can't use the AMD Clock Tool to overclock my graphics card. Anyone of you has a better software to overclock? The AMD Clock Tool can't support drivers above 8.10... but I don't really want to downgrade my drivers untill so low..... Please help guys.

Try this: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1383/GPUTool_Community_Technology_Preview_1.html
Works for my 4870's on the W90 and its a part of my Limit Breaker guide.
Bios overclocking is not the way to go unless you absolutely have too because you dont always want to be overclocked.
Also have you tried to use the built in ATI Overdrive? -

wow, Ive tried that program just now and it contains lots of bugs.... the program automatically overclock the MHZ by itself and keep increasing it until my whole system freeze. Scare me to death cuz the speed keep increasing and suddenly black screen appeared.... i guess I wont overclock my card for now until there's a stable program....
I might try witcher method by flashing the BIOS, hope everything will run fine... -

That programme only overclocks by itself if you click auto
I used it when I had my M17 to pull my 10.65k GPU Vantage score out.
You should be setting it to sync both cards and doing it manually yourself! -
do you mean the "find max" button ? I cant find the auto button.

You do it manually ....

I guess it's the driver issue... cuz everytime I overclock, my system freezes and black screen appears. I'll need to turn off my system manually and turn back on... should i downgrade my driver below 9.0 ? use the original driver from alienware?
Too bad there are no more updates on overclocking M17 4850... all I can find is the old M17 with 3850 and the drivers are all old... I guess people stop doing it? -
Nobody got 4850's
that tool does work
Need help overclocking 9.11 Ati drivers
