I have a similar issue. Bought a used M15X over Ebay, guy said he would send all original software and info to transfer the extended warranty with it. Needles to say, the "cleaning" job he did, was lacking and he did not send the re-spawn or original software. He is refusing to give me info to "myhive" and I have spoken with AW/Dell several times and they claim they can not help me since I am not original owner.
Where can I get this software so that I can get the computer back to original? Sorry... don't mean to ambush the thread but since it is essentially the same question was hoping for help too.

Can't help you with the M15x itself but the ebay part I can offer advice on.

File a complaint with PayPal (I'm assuming you used them) because the item is not as described. This will put pressure on the seller to work with you on resolving the issue. Don't use the negative feedback yet, once given it is of no help in negociating.

You need to be prepared to ship back the system if needed for a full refund.

    Good luck

If it's the original M15x then you should know that Alienware did not transfer warranties. The warranty becomes automatically void if anyone other than the original buyer attempts to send it in for repair. The seller has missold the item and I would second that you should open a Paypal dispute for a not as described item. It'll lock the money in the sellers Paypal account and pressure him to resolve the issues with you.

Paypal dispute is definitely the way to go, they're very good in handling these things. I would suggest just sending it back to the seller for a full refund.

Are you referring to a NEW ALLPOWERFULL M15x or the old one? Because that DRASTICALLY changes your situation. You made a pretty big mistake if you bought the old one, but if it is one of the new ones (From Dell):
    - Fill out their transfer of ownership form
    - You are now the owner
