    Hi all,
I installed Command Center on Windows 7 RTM (7600) but i meet a problem:
My CPU Utilization always running at 100% after I install Command Center. I uninstall it and then, everything work normal.
I heard that Command Center can run on Windows 7. It run, but the CPU utilization is so terrible.
Can someone help me to fix this problem?
    Many thanks

I haven't had the CPU problem. My problem with Command Center in Win7 (7100) is memory usage. It has a memory leak of some kind and after awhile (depending on the program I am running), it will suck down all available memory bringing the system to its knees. Maybe its a similar issue?

Is the command center for the new m17x different from the one the m15x has ?
If yes then is there any chance of getting a new Win 7 compatible version for the old m15x ?

There are no Windows 7 compatible command centers released as of yet, Alienware has stated that they will support Windows 7 on the computers that they sell which have windows 7 upgrade coupons. Currently that is only the M17x, M15x, M17, and Area-51 m15x. We will have to wait and see after Win 7 releases if this holds true, and yes they are different.

Dell does not HAVE to support it until the end of October - I am confident they will come through but we have to wait and see

In the mean time you can still get Alien FX and Alien Touch (but that is it - no sense or fusion)

The Command Center in the support downloads for the M15x works with Windows 7. Every feature except AlienFusion works.

But will it work on models other than the M15x? I am uncertain if they are somewhat customized to the laptop model they are made for

I'm using it on my M17x in Windows 7. Just make sure you uninstall the older version if you're using it. But everything except Fusion works. FX, Touch, and Sense all work just the same as the version that works on Vista.

I did the upgrade from the original Vista do Windows 7 and started to experience the same issue. After a while it sucks down all available memory (98% or 99%).

I read that it could be related to uTorrent or another download software, but it happens when I'm not using them as well, so I think it could be in fact the Command Center.

Any one tried to contact support (Alienware, Dell or Microsoft) to figure that out?

    Ah!

I've just done the upgrade to Win7. I've tried installing the latest Command Centre from the Dell site (2.0.10 A03) and the install fails with 'Error:-1605 This action is only valid for products that are currently installed'. I have installed v1.0.6 which works for FX and Touch. But I really want the face recognition back.

My friend has just bought an M15x from Dell - that comes with Win7 and a resource DVD. Can I install Command Centre from that DVD? Will it give me back my facial-recognition login?

How do I uninstall it? The app isn't present in Programs and Features.

NM - found it as Command Center
