I received my m17x over a month ago with one 500gb hard drive but now i need to add a second one. Like most of you know this notebook doesnt come with a second hard drive caddy unless you order 2 hard drives.

I was wondering if there is a place online where i can order it from. I know some people have been lucky enough to have dell send them the caddy but unfortunately i dont live in the US and calling customer service would be an expensive call since i'd have to call from south america. I would just rather pay for the caddy and then have it sent to me via fedex by the people who would receive the caddy... Kind of complicated.. i know..

Any idea where i can find this? And what are ALL the pieces i'll need.. cables, screws, etc...

    Thanks!

    Alex

what you need is the TRDD2 kit from alienware/dell.

search this forum its been covered to death. I have at least 4 interposers if you dont get anyware. it would allow you to conect the second hard drive but would not be very secure
