The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. Though it's not a 800 number, it's

    1-305-251-9797

You bypass the wait-line and go straight to a technician.
Just press 4 in the first menu. Then 1.

It's fast and it's better than waiting.

I hope you guy enjoy! Save the number and don't abuse!

<gets up onto the soap box>

My biggest challenge with the support staff at Alienware is that, 1st: you can no longer use the [email protected] email address. Which means you have to call in, sit in the que for an hour or more at a time and then get someone that does care whether you have a challenge or not. 2nd - even if you do get someone who does "try" to help you, they never return your calls or emails when you have a follow-up question or challenge. It's very, very frustrating with how this company can take your money without challenges for gear that is worth 5x's the normal laptop market values.

    <steps off soap box>.

Not to start a urinary Olympic event, but if you go to RJTech.com or Sagernotebook.com, you'll find that equivalent bare-bones systems are just as expensive. My M17 has served me well for over a year now. I have had no problems with it other than the ones that I caused by tinkering around. And yeah, you're gonna pay a premium for the Alienware badge. That's commerce.

My appologize, my rant was not in regards to the price of the laptops but the quality of the service.

I have never been on hold with Alienware tech support for longer than 5 minutes, have always connected with someone in the US and they have never been anything than super helpful.
Thanks to the OP for the direct number.

Ditto. The lights went out on my keyboard one day. Found the ribbon connector was cracked. Alienware immediately sent a new one out. I was only on the phone for a few minutes as well.
