    Hello

After calling Roswell Support team today, they came to a conclusion that I will have to send in my laptop for repairs...Its also only the 2nd week that I have it... Either way I must say to you guys that Alienwares customer service is not as bad as everyone sais. They are friendly and very very helpful. I will get an answer back on weather I can exchange the laptop for a desktop without them taking the 15% restocking fee... So heres my question.

I spent around $2600.00 for my M15x and I was wondering if you can recommend the best Alienware desktop I can replace it with? Is there anything new coming out that I should wait for or should I go maybe for the Area 51 desktop and just trick it out? I see a few different desktops there and im really not sure which one I should get?
Im also thinking about maybe getting the M17x or the other laptop but im more into desktops right now because my brother is giving me his laptop so I can use it for school... Please give me your advice on what you think i should do.

if you are getting a desktop, with 2600 you cant really get a good alienware desktop. well not good but it will be decent. if you can get a refund that 2600 can get you a really good self built desktop. i would build the desktop myself. well that is only considering if you know how to build your own desktop. for the m17x....2600 wont get good specs.

I called them several times back to day when I was still looking for a new laptop and yes they were friendly. but "helpful"? not if they can't fix your machine.

I'm reading all over the place that all new tech'll be out anytime from nowish to November. I dunno how long AW would let you wait though. At least a desktop you could upgrade easily... dunno man. But the Nehalem stuff coming soon is cool.

Please tell me which RAM I would need for the Area 51 desktop because I plan on getting only 2GB... Also since im getting 2gb with it, does it mean theres 2x1GB or a single 2gb stick? Also please tell me if these specs are good and if its worth it to get the Alien Fx Lighting...?

It will come with 2 x 1GB most likely so you will have to upgrade to 2 x 2GB. Don't get the FX lighting btw.
