Ok so my M17 is likely to arrive in my hands after my unit has moved from our current location, and I most likely won't be able to get it connected to internet right away, if at all, and if I do it will be extremely slow. Right now at work, I have a decent connection, and can download from around 50kb/s to 80kb/s. Not terrible compared to my room which gets 0.5-10 kb/s. Problem is the internet here at work is blocked by just about every site out there, i'm suprised I can get on here at work. So I have no way to get on alienware to download anything i'd need to get, nor to download needed patches for games. I was able to find a few mirrors I could access. But I was wondering if anybody had links to mirrors for needed applications, patches, and drivers I need to make sure I get my computer up and running without an internet connection.

Also are there any tricks to install games such as Crysis Warhead, GTA:4, etc without having access to the internet? As well as tricks to keep Steam working offline, I can get it to work occasionally, but most of the time it says Game is not available in offline mode or it won't even let me open steam in offline mode on occasion.

Some games I could use patches for that I own are.

Company of Heros: Gold Edition w/ Opposing Fronts
    Crysis Warhead
    GTA:IV
    Empire Total War
    Dawn of War 2
    FSX
    Call of Duty 4

Ask your superviser to give you access to those websites. Or have him put your laptop on the server with Admin access. Have him download the files.

    Other ideas.

1 There game Locations Basicly you have your computer connected to there net and install the game and pay for it.

2 Friends family house out side your location. I had to do this with Lord of the rings Mines of Moria.

3 Call or Email the companys and see if they can send you the Updates and charge you.
