Great! Let us know how it works, bro. Hope it's the best one yet.

The previous Alienware Recommended driver had a release date in June of last year, so it's nice to see a new one being offered.

Awesome, although I'm weary of changing drivers since things have been sweet since 13.3 b3.
    Cheers for that Mr Fox

Installed the driver in the OP and it installed as 9.003 from 10/25/2012.

Something must have been corrupt when I installed it. Everything on my computer became unstable. Programs crashed immediately upon opening including Alienware Respawn and Windows Explorer. Not sure what went wrong, I installed it identically to how I installed every driver I have ever installed. I completely removed this one and installed the one from AMD's website and fixed all the problems. Again no idea what I did incorrect. I doubt it's an md5 issue because I downloaded the driver twice and tried installing it twice (Couldn't have been a corrupt download twice?) (Cleanly each time) before cleanly reinstalling the latest driver from AMD's website.

I find it interesting that the 7970 with good drivers is actually better in most games the the 680: with a good price tag to match , it's a killer card.

These are rubbish, I knew it. AMD drivers are sucking again.

Back to 13.3 beta 3 for me.

How odd. I don't understand why they would have bothered releasing them if they're such rubbish. I wonder if they work better with the 6800M/6900M series GPUs. It's a shame the selection of stable drivers for 7970M are so few and far between. I don't remember having nearly as much driver drama with 6800M/6900M GPUs.

The AMD Catalyst™ 13.2 Beta Drivers seems to be the preference of most.

Yeah, AMD are a strange bunch. You'd think they'd have a streamlined driver upgrade function by now. Nope, still gotta tip toe around their delicate code.

13.2 Betas are good stuff too. 13.4 + are rubbish again.

Those crashes are exactly what happened to me. I thought I installed it incorrectly. Guess the drivers are just rubbish.
