Can anyone help me pick out a new 24" 16:9 format LCD monitor. I require a low response time 2-5ms no higher than 5. Also require 1920 x 1080 resolution. Also need to be sure the LCD is not noisy in any way and that the back light doesn't bleed through when the screen is dark. HDMI or Display port connection is what I want, Preferably HDMI. Medium High brightness level with a glossy surface. The base needs to be able to adjust vertical and horizontal as well as height. Looking to spend around 400-500 for a nice quality one. Suggestions anyone?

A large viewing angle would be nice too.

What made you choose those 4 screens? The first one has no display port or hdmi connection so thats out. Im not a big fan of Acer's. Does anyone know of a good quality monitor that they have used in person and liked it. I like the Samsung ones and some of the dell branded ones seem to be nice. Also like NEC.

Drop down to 23" and you can get a Samsung, Dell, or Acer model with a 16:9 2048x1152 resolution.

do any of those higher res 23"'s have 1:1 pixel mapping of a 1920 x 1080 image?

Dell does. Samsung doesn't. Acer I don't know.

hmm I wonder if I can add the monitor to my order. It will be included under my 3 year warranty i chose if I add it to my order correct? That dell has a nice response time great contrast ratio looks very good. But the 1 : 1 pixel mapping on the higher res screen thats exactly what I need. Does the base of it adjust vertical horizontal and height?
I seen a review of that monitor that said it made a very audible noise that could get annoying. That worries me. Have you ever seen 1 in person? Was it quiet? -

I looked on the dell site and I don't see anywhere where it says the 2048 x 1152 Dell SP2309W 16:9 monitor supports 1:1 pixel mapping of a 1920 x 1080 HD image. How do you know that it does?

The internet tells me it's secrets...
I read it somewhere. Chat a Dell rep on the site to confirm.
