I have just received mine and am loving it so far. However, I have a couple of things I would like to receive advice about.

    1. What is a good way to protect the screen from dust? Ever since I got the thing, the screen has been a dust magnet, and I don't want to use the back of my hand to clean it. Is there something I can buy, specifically?

    2. What is a good carrying case for this laptop?

    3. Is there a way to overclock the GPU? I've already overclocked the CPU.

    4. Is there a way to switch GFX modes without switching off all other programs?

    Thanks to anyone who replies.

NVIDIA System Tools to overclock the GPU. Install the "Performance" aspect of it.

What are you using to carry your M!!x around with? Good thread for discussion on carrying case.

To switch GPU's just press FN+F6.

To protect the screen you can use the sleeve that came with it and just slide it over the laptop screen so it only covers half the laptop. I personally put the laptop in the sleeve and then that in the carrying case.

Thanks. I knew about switching to Binary GFX, I just didn't know if the GPU itself could be overclocked, but I see now it can.

I remember seeing one thread where someone talked about some sort of "sponge" product that cleaned their screen. I couldn't find that thread again, but I think I'll find a good product for cleaning the screen eventually. Any other suggestions for that in the meantime?

I've never used EVGA Precision, so I'm not really sure. NST is just easy and it is part of the Nvidia control panel.

EVGA is even simpler to use than NST. You turn it on, make your adjustments or launch a profile, do what you want, leave it or or reset to stock, turn it off... It is that simple.

i see both is similar, so basically just personal preference or does one offer better stability than the other?

Most likely personal preferance as stability all depends on cooling, the cards, and the drivers. Some cards can OC better then others, even if both cards are ATI 4870's, or GT 335M's.

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunatly, I'm not too good at figuring out how this stuff works :p. I heard somewhere that overclocking the GPU won't really make a difference, is that true? If it does, than I guess I'll have to study up on it to figure it out.

Some games it does, others it doesn't. It would make more of a differance if the CPU wasn't such a bottleneck. Best to just overclock a little and then se if you notice any differance.

20% OC of stock clocks might be safe for your GPU :)
