Seeing as the dell XPS gaming line is being closed up and turned into more of a midrange / style line... do u think as soon as they stop making the 1730 the wow laptop will switch to alienware?
the World of Warcraft laptop if you are not aware is basically a maxed out 1730 in a amazing box (just like the AW boxs actually but cooler).. with a tun of blizzard merc tossed in as well...
personally i would love to see a M15x or a M17X case with World of Warcraft decals on it...
well the 19th of may is alienwares "MMO gaming day" so maybe we will see news on it then ^_^...
also if u watch any unboxing video of the wow 1730 is fairly clear than Alienware staff have already had a strong hand involved with it... it look nothing like the other dell boxing and finishing.

it really is the coolest unboxing video ever made (if u ignore and just lol at the silly Radio guy ^_^)

Well if we do know the M1730 is gone for sure, and that Blizzard still wants to make these things, then I wouldn't see why it wouldn't move to the m17x.

War of Warcraft is a Older game. In my P4 3.4 ee with l3 2mb cache Laptop I max it out. Wow is running great.
New age games Like Lord of the Rings shadow of Angmar. It mid range. On the same laptop.
With my Core 2 2.3 ghz with L2 with 4mb cache I max Lore of the rings and it running fast and cool.
Where a p4 with 3.4 ghz and l3 cache the game is going no way in hell.
Plus better grapics on Lord of the Rings and better story line. -
You're ignoring that WoW is the biggest PC game out there and one of the biggest gaming franchises out there (besides maybe Halo, GTA and the Nintendo characters). Whether or not you need a powerful computer for it is irrelevant; those that play it will want the best.
Besides, that's a moot point given the fact WoW is an intensive game, especially in relation to CPU (that's how some people discovered the CPU downclocking issue, while playing WoW!) -
yer ... actualy WOW is one of the most CPU intensive games if u play it the right way.... and one of the most duel core optimized.
u can max out a 3gig duelcore in a raiding environment with ease..
wow is a low spec game in noobie zones but if u play it at end game its extreamly CPU intensive.
not to mention alot of hardcore wow players duel or quad box the game. on a single PC.... -
GRB you hit the nail right on the head. -
you think WoW is intensive? try eve trinity. at high specs it can make an 8800 run for its money and then in battles of over 700players........ i usually get conked out as my retarded broadband is only 2mb bandwidth.

game case design are just too stupid in my opinnion i rather see glossy black skullcap ;P

to me, the skullcap in any form just scream "STEAL ME!!!!"

Be wierd to see how the XPS line will carry on. Some people say the XPS Line will stay the high end. Others think it will just be the High end for general users, and AW will remain king of the gaming scene. I guess only time will tell.

Just like carrying around that AW back pack or the XPS back packs.
Should just paint them red with neon lights. -
-
Exiled your right there. Like I said I had an XPS system stole from a Hotel in singapore. Flashy lights proved just too much to resist.
-
i think the only way to prevent it from getting stolen is by staying near it at all times. that is probably the best way to keep your AW safe.
