I have ForceWare 175.80 at the moment.Doas anyone know where I can find this 178.13 video driver or newest, which thay not slow down the GPU clock?I tryd to install some driver from www.laptopvideo2go.com but they slow down the GPU clock and memory.Maby Alienware release some new video driver? In "MyHive" I still see only 167.55

The laptopvideo2go 179.13 drivers are the best at the moment. They have powermiser - they only downclock the card when it's not being used for 3D applications. When you play the game the clocks will go right back to normal. I'm using them and can play Far Cry 2 no problems.

Actually, I recommend the 180.43 drivers. They're supposedly optimized for Far Cry 2. I get good FPS with them.

Since Far Cry 2 is DirectX 10 then the 180.42 or .43 should be the best since they seem to work better with DX10, than all the others.

I've not tried the 180.43s yet - but I read they weren't very stable and caused crashes with other games.

follow the walkthrough on laptopvideo2go.com, as you need to install the modded .inf for them to install properly.

That's weird. I have none, HDR is enabled automatically for me on the 180.43 drivers.

I find the dynamic downclocking to actually not always switch back to normal clocks in-game a decent number of times. On certain games (source based) it is even hard to tell if you aren't running fraps, rivatuner or in-game FPS checks because you still get like 40+ FPS. Has anyone noticed this as well?

How are these drivers wrt Blu-ray movies via HDMI?
All but the official Alienware ones that I have tried won't let you output HD via the HDMI port.

just had a driver error in Crysis (w/ 179.13), very annoying that was, so i'm wondering, is it worth it to upgrade to 180.43?

180.43 is supposed to improve DX10 performance. I'm not sure if it'll do anything better or worse for DX9, but if you're running it on DX10 you might want to try it.

sod it, i'm not switching. ltv2go forums are full of complaints of these drivers sucking for basically everything except Far Cry 2, which I don't have (yet).
