Alienware just started the Alienware Network on their website. Visitors are to post questions where executives respond by video.
Tired of all the customer support, build quality, driver, and delivery issues?
THEN ACT.
Go to this question area and rather then submit a question... sumbit your problems.
If enough people run over the Alienware network with all the factual problems they encounter regarding the company and the product, someone there might actually take notice and consider spending less money on marketing and more money on solving the fundamental issues of customer support, build quality, drivers, and delivery.
Thank God for all the notebook forums across the internet. I could not even imagine having spent my $6000+ then coming across even one of these issues. For $6000+ --- you absolutely better be delivering on the product and experience that your company claims and hypes.
Internet Keywords:

i..can't...stop....laughing....at...your....avatar....
-
Yea I'm not sure if this is just a joke or something. Sorry man but you have 1 post and your avatar is just a little... meh...
Not sure what you mean about the internet keywords though. -
The AlienNetwork is real if you mean he's joking about that..
Here's the link -
well I already submitted questions on the downclocking/heating issues of the m15x and im sure a lot of you will do the same. The funny thing is, I wonder if they are going to dodge the question even if lots of people will be asking it LOL
-
Heh I know that the AlienNetwork is real, I got the email from him. What I meant is that honestly it is hard to take him seriously with his avatar / etc. Sorry if I'm being rude but I think you guys know what I mean.
-
I hope that really isn't him in the pic... and that he put up as his avatar so we could all laugh and make fun ^^
-
I would questioned his credibility but I won't judge him by avatar. He can put whatever he wants but it could be either it's obvious (like what most of us think) or it just happens he finally join NBR and shout his heart out. Other than that I would think his suggestions are legits.
Still, that avatar caught unnecessary attentions if u asked me. Funny as hell tho haha. Hopefully that's not him. I wonder what kind of person put that type of picture on his/her avatar (especially something like that) haha. -
Hmmmmm
*laughes at avatar*
hmmmmm
*is once again distracted by avatar and laughs at it some more*
Anyone get the negative feeling about his post? Seems all he can do is complain about Alienware, as if he takes it for granted... -
The internet keywords are just so people can find this post when they search on Google.. meh.
I don't think there's anything in his post he couldn't have been serious about; he's not claiming anything. -
the .. thong... awww my eyes.... ehh what was this topic about again?
-
Oodle-Bear Alienware Mug, Testpilot
Eh..... W.....T......F.....
Maybe he works for AW and is asking for info on problems so that they can then "find" them out lol
The avatar is funny though..... Big strange perhaps but...

Come on guys... Don't take life too serious. I was told I shouldn't make jokes (even if bad) in this forum, I was told I shouldn't talk because I don't have a M15x, I was told that putting too many exclamation marks takes away your credibility... I mean, can we just "be"? Now the guy can't even have a naked man in thong for an Avatar?
Anyway...
Appart from that, I think the post is completely valid and legit and another way to help us (owners and future owners alike) to solve a problem that is really tormenting this laptop. I think we should all post a question about the downclocking there (and how are they going to solve it). -
-
lol. Man you just made my day.
Aside from the chuckles - I'm gonna wait until April 29th (that's supposed to be the day the alienware execs talk back to us) before I buy the m15x. I'd like to see how they treat their customers and what they intend to do with the m15x.
Some questions people should be asking if not already asked
1) Are people going to have the ability to upgrade to montevenia? Will there be a MB replacement?
2) When will the heat issues/new drivers come out? -
I was also wondering... who's spending 6000$ on a laptop? Last time I checked that 3000$ gets you a very potent m15x, and back in the day, 3000$ got you a very potent m9750....

If I made 30k a year I would spend 6k on a laptop
a voodoo pc to be more exact -
Voodoo PC is even worse than Alienware. Hell they don't even keep up with the current technology that well anymore. The best company as of right now in my opinion is Falcon Northwest as their tech support is pretty much unrivaled.
-
While their tech support is great it still doesn't justify the price of the system itself. To get something similar (although with updated components) to what I have now would cost me nearly $6k. To get the same config from one of the clevo resellers would cost a little more than half that.
As far as making 30k a year goes, thats really not alot of money at all these days Travis. If you still lived at home with mom and dad maybe but if you were providing for yourself thats not alot at all. -
Yea 30K a year is not a lot at all. Kids think 30K is a lot but it really isn't. You have to factor in your insurance for your car, health insurance, 401K (if you have it), electricity bill, gas bill, morgage on your house (if you have one), paying rent, etc. By the time you're done with that you are struggling to have extra money a month. I'd say the 80K - 100K mark is the "comfort zone" in terms of having some extra cash left over. I know my brother is making 140K as a lawyer right now and he has a good cushion of money.
