for the graphics issue, right click on your desktop ad go into nvidia control panel and ensure SLI is enabled. FOr the touch buttons download and reinstall the driver.

10,000 is fine for a 2.0ghz quad core even with sli.

if you up your cpu ghz more you will get a real score.

    i dont think so dondadah88
    my g51j-a1 gets almost 11k in 3d-6 with a a i7 720qm and a single 260m

that setup should be getting atleast close to 15k

ok. so you don't keep on making the new accounts. i will clock my cpu at 2.0ghz and 1.5ghz and show you the difference.

AT 2.0GHZ IT DOESN'T PUSH YOUR GPU REGARDLESS IF IT IS SLI OR NOT.

give me 15min i'll run both and show you.

the quad don't mathers in 3dmark06 since it don't use more then 2 cores anyway so clock speend of the cpu mathers much more

and by the way with my current setup i got
    1.1k with my q9000 a 2ghz
    1.2k when ocing a 2.1ghz

    @blaster
    and what's you point?

did you see his clock speed. It's at 2.4 ghz like I have been telling you. Give my about ten more minutes to finish these runs.

a quad in 06 only means 1000-2000 more points then a dual AT THE SAME CLOCK SPEEDS.

I finished 2.5ghz and i'm running 2.0ghz then add the 1000-2000 more on the CPU scores and that's what you WILL GET.

My dual core and 3870's scored 15k

Please don't argue don is right and how 3dmark works is honestly oblivious to you.

If you would just play a game you would realize it's faster

I know it's rude but he has stated it over and over but you ignored it

ok so i should have chosen a dual core and saved money?? im confused.....so like on crysis it does not matter if you have dual core or quad core to get the maxx settings at acceptable framerates?

    YouR CPU won't matter.

A quad will be just as fast as a 2.6 ghz dual core at high resolutions like that.

The higher the resolution the less dependent on the CPU it is and more on the gpu

so it is like if i had a 2ghz dual core processor when playing crysis?? so why quad cores are more expensive?? also will i be able to play crysis at very high settings at 1200p?

well actualy for gaming since most game only use 2 core a dual would have been better but the diference won't be as noticeable then in 3dmark06 (some of them does use 4 cores but they are rare)

3dmark06 has been stated to be way to cpu dependant and dependant on the speed of 2 cores

actualy crysis is much more gpu dependant then cpu my q9000 let me play at high at 1900x1200

The quads are more expensive because they are better.

They are not always bettter for gaming( usually don't help at all) . They will speed up task like video encodeing and compileing.

It won't optimize crysis . Why are you basting you laptops speed on a poorly optimized game ?

What you have is enough for any game out.

Every processor is different. You'll just have to wait and see and test yours. It wont take long to find your max. Important to note however, its not necessary to OC your CPU unless you are benching it and trying to push a max score. Up to you though.

What batboy said is correct and in the m17x you can over clock it as much as you want. Heat is what damages the CPU and in the m17x heat is not an issue with overclocking.

What ever you choose to run it at will be safe. The average overclock on the q9000 is 2.35-2.49 ghz.

Yes with no issues. It will overclock to 3.4-3.6

a t9600 would be a better choice for a dual core due to it's lower price. It can overclock to 3.4-3.6 as well

first try your q9000 in some games first see if you like it. then overclock and see if you like it more and then we will take it from there.

Yes it will help you score higher on 3dmark

no it will not help your games (maybe 5 fps more) if it's quad optimized then it will actually go down.

Command Center and OSD have to be installed in order for the Stealth Mode button to function. I have both Integrated and Hybrid Graphics in the BIOS disabled (so only the 280's are active) - when I depress the Stealth Mode button I am prompted with a dialog box (attached). That 'Notify!' label in the top left of the window - very typical to OSD's components. Thanks AW dev guys :)

Enabling it will push your CPU and other components into a deeper power save mode.
