    i know theres a thread but just wanted to know can anyone tell me exactly what i set and how much to do get about 2.9-3ghz max as i dont wanna go to much over! thanks again guys <3

    the easy way and the most stable it seems to me is go into your bios and set your cpu multiplier to 11x. This will = 2.93

    can also try pumping the fsb instead which does get better performance but also increases the risk of instability.

    how much do i increase the fsb for? i want a weee bit of perfomance boost, not alot though, also is there a way to get it back to standard settings or do i have to remember the current normal factory settings?

    ok i set the cpu multiplier to x11, where does it show my current cpu speed though? system info still shows 2.53 ghz? do i need to download a program or sumthing?

    thnx mandrake. also i done a window system score and all my results are 5.9? is that normal im sure before i had different numbers. and shouldnt overclock increase this score?

    sweet thanks mate, its showing 2933 on the core speed, but its changing from 1600.1mgz now n again whats this about?

    Intel SpeedStep. It throttles down when not in use to save power and heat.

    I think vista is locked at 5.9 though. Vista is like 7.6+.
