When you receive your Mobile system there is a white sheet of paper with your configuration written on it. This sheet should be inside your Alienware parcel.

What do you mean? It's not under Display adapters?
You can try GPU-Z if you want.

You have your main cards as WELL as the 9400m which may be used to save power, you need to switch over to your main cards

Go into the bios and under Graphics options set both things to disabled disabled.. This will force the ATI cards and only the ATI cards to show up...

Nope it just means you cant run both the ATI cards and the 9400m at the same time. .. Its one or the other...

Yeah it would be pretty horrible running both ATI cards and a overclocked Qx9300 on battery :)...

Thats why i think it might be a bit longer for the i7 and dual video card machines to come out until Intel releases there own IGP solution so you get more then 20 minutes of battery life :)..

I rather imagine dual i9 with quad cards. Its more logical that way :D By that time people will keep telling me they dont understand how can I live with such a weak machine like an All Powerful M17x =))

it's not that bad a quad and dual 48xx series i manage to get over 2h of batterie life how ever disabeling wireless or bluetooth or even downing brightness has a ridiculusly low impact on life time
