    Hello all

I just got my M17x last week and after a few days playing, I am now keen to overclock it and see what effect this has.

I'd like to keep this topic specific to the Quad core Q9000 and dual 260Ms (as I've seen lots of other posts on other processors and GPU's but not so much on these).

I have no experience in overclocking and only learned how to do it from reading it on here yesterday, so I have now increased my FSB in the BIOS to 1260 to get a stable 2370Hz- anything higher and my computer would feeze up shortly after getting into Vista. For anyone else that has overclocked their Q9000:

what values did you use for FSB?
what increase in processor speed did u get?

As for GPU overclocking, I still am unclear on how to do this and how to work out whether I have done this safely or not. If someone with a bit of knowledge and who has done this for their own 260Ms on their m17x can fill me in, that would be brilliant!! Once again, for those that have done this:

how did u do it (programs, etc)?
    what values did you use?
what performance increase did u get as a result?

many thanks in advance for anyone who can provide information on this!

i must say it does not sound like you should be overclocking

Supply screen shots of CPU-z, cpu & memory tabs and a screen shot of GPU-z and we can help you. Also download and install nvidia system tools 6.05.
