    Hi Guys,

As i'm sure some of you are already aware, I am compiling a list of the best and most useful guides/threads for notebook care, maintenance and tuning.

My intention is to create a list so that everyone can access these links from one place, rather than searching. Making it easier for everyone to find information really...

Also, just for the record, if anyone is unsure of my intentions (",) I am not trying to take credit for anyone elses work, I am just trying to help out... for the cause.

If anyone does have any suggestions, i'll more than happy to add items that are useful etc.

    Anyway, enjoy... :)

    OB

P.S. The link is part of my signature ;)

    Hi Oodle Bear.

    That's very nice of you.

I already mentioned sometime ago... but as you state it very well, those guides were written by others and those are the people whose credits should go to. I think you should write everyone's user names in front of the guides they wrote.

Obviously, it's quite good you compiled all those links together. Thanks for that.

Funny you made this post, I was just about to make a thread on my own.

I have my M15X with the Skullcap design. Over the few weeks I have owned it I have got finger prints on the nice shiney surface.

I bought some Synthetic Liquid Polish for my Rubicon and decided to try it on my notebook.

I bought Turtle Wax® ICE™ because it does not leave a white residue. The white residue is very difficult to remove from a matte surface like the black fender flares on my Rubicon. It is a very thin liquid so it is easy to apply AND remove.

What I did is remove the battery from my M15X and disconnected the AC power adapter, you do not want to be turning on the laptop and activating the touch controls while polishing the laptop.

Apply a very little ICE™ to the applicator and GENTLY apply it to the entire silver surface. Directions say to let it dry for about 3-5 minutes then use the supplied Micro Fiber cloth to remove. Use the second supplied Micro Fiber cloth to finish the polish process and your done. I did accidently get a little on the black keys and it wiped right off.

Now your not polishing a car here so VERY light pressure is used to remove and polish the laptop.

    Hope this helps.

OH and I am in no way associated with Turtle Wax®, I just used their product for my Rubicon and decided to try it on the laptop with good results. Your mileage m ay vary. :notworthy:

Good idea Milcs, i'll put "- created by..." at the end of each one, so that the credit goes to the owner/creators
