I see better results on DOX 180.70 than LaptopVideo2go.com's 180.70

    Haven't tried the 180.84 yet

Sorry for the delay I have been playing Team Fortress 2 with the new updates.
So far from what I have tested it seems very good for DX10 programs, and ok for DX9.
probably the best all around driver so far.

Hm, I heard of a lot of people having problems with 180.84 so far but I suppose it's worth a try. I'm still on .70.

I don't get good results with the 180.84.
But this is by far the best 180 driver. it is almost as good as the 179.13 that had the 9800GT unlocked.
After playing lots of TF2 last night, I was getting a constant 130FPS. which is good because I normally get 100 in closed areas and 70ish in large open ones.

Any benchmarks for recent DX10 games like Fallout 3 or Far Cry 2? Right now I'm pretty much only playing Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead and GRID. Wondering what performance on those look like. If no one has any marks, I'll just try it myself.

I believe these are supposed to be (180.84). They fix GTA4's HIV textures.

i have a question, it says that the original inf only supports the desktop version of the 800gtx, so do i use the modded or is the 180.48 drivers not for me...

As with any driver that is made for desktops, you must use the modded inf file and install the driver manually. Also the new DOX's modified drivers are out as well. The DOX driver comes with a installer that I find very simple.

You seem to be on default drivers that came from AW. I would recommend DOX's 180.70.. Found it better than Forceware's 180.84

    Download them here

    Hey guys,

I downloaded and installed the DOX version and GTA textures are a-ok now. :D
The problem is that when I turn off stealth mode, the clock speeds and memory speeds on my GPU remain at 200Mhz and 100Mhz instead of the full un-stealthed mode of 500Mhz and 799Mhz.

Any ideas as to why that is?

dynamic downclocking. nothing to worry about. they should go right back up when under heavy load (i.e. gaming).

Is that so? Cause before my gpu fan would hit full tilt. But now it runs is stealth mode all the time.

The driver worked awesome for me... then like the other 180.xx drivers it completely glitched up after a while and artifcated my whole display. Ah well, back to 179.13..

Supposedly the 180.84 1.1 drivers are a world better. Fortunately or unfortunately enough, 181.00 just came out today. So many new drivers, it's kind of overwhelming. :x

thats why you find a good driver and just stick with it. then you let other ppl test out the newer version and if they say its better then you upgrade :D
