Hello all, well got my m17x, but im having a problem with framerates.... randomly crysis or cod4 drops to 2,3,4 fps then goes back to normal... it does this here and there like every 3 min...

so before you guys can help

    i did the following:

    system restore (twice)
tried nvidia stock drivers and the new beta
    tried a hard reset
    disabled the 9400 chipset

and this stutter happens even on all settings LOW with fast FPS
and im still getting stutter problems on first person shooters...

street fighter 4 not so much, but the audio skips...

any ideas??? oh and the RIGHT side of the GPU makes clicking noises... (when the GPU's kicks in to do its job)
when it stutters the clicking goes in and out... like its having a hard time reading

Someone else on this forum had this similar problem.

    Thanks in advance.

You are added to my list owners with problems... :(

No but seriously, I think you've tried a lot already. No point for you to waste time on something you won't fix by yourself. Call AW tech support, they will take up to 6 hours of your time just to figure out that the graphic card is defective and it requires to be changed. You will get a brand new laptop.

Got the same problem as you, except my game crashes, does a sound loop and then goes to the windows desktop screen like nothing ever happend... while the game shut down on its own. I would call AW tech and have them fiddle with it. Just get them on your computer through alien contact and then go do something else cause they'll just fart around for a while. But you actualyl need them to confirm that there is a problem with your computer or graphics card or whatever it is thats wrong for dell to approve a new computer being shipped. I have a new one coming to me.
