    I am currently on 353.06 with a gtx 970m.
I tried enabling vsync in nvidia cc (didnt work)
tried enabling vsync in intel cc(didnt work)
    enabled in both (didnt work)
i tried enabling ambient occlusion using nvidia inspector with verified compatibility bits(didnt work)
Is it a driver issue or a known issue with optimus gpus?
btw never tried using vsync with older driver versions in cc because other games vsync options were better than witcher 3's(has microstutter)

Yeah, run DDU and then reinstall the driver. I have had the problem 3 times already. Has happened to me on both modded and stock drivers. Seems any little change, install or uninstall that happens can cause the settings to lock down and not apply. Running DDU, then CCleaner to clean the rest, then reinstalling should fix it. I actually just did it about 2 hours ago myself.

    @encor50,

We have similar machines, how're your 880's performing and what driver and BIOS are you on. I still have throttling on all drivers I've tried. Just curious. I still haven't flashed to the modded Vbios though. Still too scared.

@Awhispersecho my 880's are good i have the svl7 vbios its great the only thing not good is you cant use your 880's on the battery u will have to switch to Intel Graphics and for games i always go in nvidia control panel and change any game 3d settings (power management mode) to prefer maximum performance like this they are perfect

and maybe if u just do the settings like i said u dont really have to use the svl7

@Awhispersecho so i just restored my original vbios for the cards and after 5 min im back on the svl7 vbios cards throttle even with ' prefer maximum performance ' and almost never go to 993MHZ and lost 500+ points on firestrike benchmark so i think u should give it a try
    and here is how http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/nvflash.774423/#post-9983774
to backup your original vbios use this twice each time for 1 card :

    nvflash -i0 -b 0.rom

    nvflash -i1 -b 1.rom

and when u boot u have to do it also twice with this :

    nvflash -i0 -6 new.rom

    nvflash -i1 -6 new.rom

    this is after svl7

How many games besides Witcher 3 are you having these features not work? Is the problem limited to Witcher 3? If it is limited to Witcher 3, you might not be able to do anything to correct the problem.

No witcher 3 is working at its best... i tried enabling driver AO in warcraft 3 using compatibility bits from the guru3d thread and driver enforced vsync never works.
tried reinstalling after using DDU , reinstalled both intel and nvidia drivers (353.06) still AO doesnt work, and driver enforced vsync ( tried both intel and nvidia) dont work

unfortunately I have no other suggestions. Alot of this is new to me too. What I had suggested worked for me, that was frustrating enough, my blood pressure would be through the roof if I had tried that and it didn't work. I feel for you. Hopefully someone else here will have another suggestion. The only other thing I might try is uninstalling Warcraft and then reinstalling it. I had to do that with Metro LL before cause it was acting all funky. Dont know man, wish you luck tho.

Reinstalling warcraft shouldn't change anything as even in other games vsync through driver settings doesn't work , so i have reason to believe that i bought the wrong laptop ; should've tried to get something that doesn't have optimus and used the good old multiplexer switches :(

I'm really sorry, I have no idea. I haven't tried to use vsync for anything in ages. I just don't use it, and in fact, I usually go out of my way to take steps to disable it because I hate having my framerate limited by anything. I set things like AO and AA in game most of the time. Maybe the Intel iGPU is causing some kind of interference with the amount of control you can have over the NVIDIA discrete GPU.

This is the reason i didnt want an optimus laptop but no company provides a non optimus laptop nowadays in the budget series($1000-1300) :( ... will pray a driver update resolves this
