May be he/she wonders if there is something wrong with the hard drive mentioned in the earlier posts (there is nothing wrong with the hard drive) and is asking about the symptoms

On a different note, there are are some rumors floating around that the new bios is coming this Wednesday. Did Nagshead mention anything? It's been a while since we last heard from him.

    Hello,

the flickering thread has been closed, so i write here.

Dont believe that there is a new bios which fixes the flickering problem. Yesterday my mainboard was replaced with a brand new one, but the problem still exists.

I dont know why any people did affirm that there will be a new bios which fixes the problem. I had a very long telephone call with the AW support yesterday, there is at time no modified bios which solves the issue - this is a fact.

    Best regards
    Rolf

Well the fact that one of the members here HAS THE BIOS INSTALLED IN HIS MACHINE is our main indicator that it exists....he is sort of the beta tester for it for Alienware unless I am mistaken. He sent his machine in to them to inspect and they put this bios on for him to test

I think if there is a bios which solves this problem new notebooks and mainboards should be equipped with that bios. Thats in fact not the case.

Furthermore, the engineers at AW to whom i talked yesterday did not know anything about a new bios.

Joker, what version is your bios - A02?

    Best regards
    Rolf
