I'd be interested to know how the speakers sound, IGN seemed to have skipped that.

I was just thinking, that since there are now Actual Owners, it would be a good thing for us to have an Owners lounge starting from scratch. However, I did post the link at the top for Page 1 of the owners lounge. :)

I'm going to go ahead and keep the SSD lol since I did the math and if I went with 500GB HDD the cost to the SSD is only ~$330. I prefer the space of 256GB over a 160GB one too. Now my problem is the Bluetooth.. Grrr and 3% off DPA

So I spoke with a EPP sales rep and he asked if I wanted Bluetooth. He told me that it was available on his screen.

    Quirky, huh?

Bluetooth appeared within minutes of me checking today. One minute it was not and then I went back and it was. $20 upgrade for bluetooth 2.1 It is NOT standard equipment and needs to be added to the order.

I can see where the confusion is and people assuming it is standard, since common sense it would be a feature in some form.

What the hell is with the Bluetooth? My original order that didn't go through because of the crappy Gizmodo link had Bluetooth, but then my second order, the one that's FINALLY in production, doesn't. I'm not losing my place in line again, damnit.

I believe you need a Cell subscription to work with it, either ATT or Verizon. And I think it is like 60 bucks a month, but it basically gives you internet where ever you go. I got a Moto Droid, and I will tether it to get my free internet. :)

Anyone have any luck getting some killer EPP discounts? I can't get anyone to offer me more then the EPP 10% off and the $50 coupon, so I'm only getting like $90+$50 and I'm seeing some people get more then just the 10% and $50.

    Stingy jerks! :p

From my understanding, you can use your current data plan. I just reordered mine with Gobi because I didn't feel like fooling around with it and I got a student discount on Gobi, too.

For the AT&T, I think you just plug in your SIM card and it uses your data plan.

I just noticed that on the US dell they are doing 800MHz ram and on the UK its 1067MHz. Thing is though, I thought the motherboard was actually limited to 800MHz.. anybody know? :)

Sigh. Its not up on Dell JP yet, so there's no way to know for sure unless someone here can speak and type Japanese and harass a Dell JP rep in japanese.

It is actually 1066 ram everywhere, and that is where the OC option comes from, if you turn on the Overclocking it just raises the FSB so the ram is running at 1066, and thus the processor is at 1.6.

One rather important question, is the SU4100/7300 soldered to the motherboard or removable? if it's socket based, we can pop in a faster cpu right? assuming the bios supports it of course.

Comes out more expensive in Canada.

    $899
    +$100 SU7300
    +$100 to 4GB RAM
    +$50 to 250GB, 7,200 RPM hard drive
    ---------
    $1149.00
EPP here is only 7% (and I had to fight for that, they tried to give my 5%).
    Subtotal: $1068.57

And we have pretty bad taxes:

    $1209.91 Total Price shipped w/taxes.

I still pulled the trigger, I think it's a great value and with the glowing reviews and the revelation that the CPU is OC'd so easily, that just sealed the deal for me.

You have a Motorola Droid too? Sweet! I might like to get a M11x as a gift for someone and I didn't want to get them something that would cost them extra if they didn't need or want it.
