This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Not sure if anybody cares or not... the TactX Keyboard is 75 bucks (25 off) and the TactX Mouse is 50 bucks (half off) now at the mothership.

    Dell won't take it back as a trade-in or refund by the time a new model will be out. you better off selling yours on ebay and buying a new one.

    In laptops reality if you prefer to wait 6 months for a better model to be out you will never buy one.

    The m11x doesn't come with an atom processor / ION gpu set. Don't consider this a netbook at all. And I don't think the Su7300 is that bad at all.

    Yea, must be horrible with all those beautiful brazilian women ;)

    Also Alienware never mentions the term netbook on thier site...ultra mobile...


    On another note, I've got two SSDs on the way, and the Orion backpack for my alienwares.

    Those with the SSD in the M11X, how are you liking it? I'm wanting to know from those who have purchased the SSD from Dell as the two I have on the way are the Samsung 256GB SSDs with TRIM.

    It's easy enough to leave it. You can click quote, then copy and paste or there is a multiquote function. Check out the thread in my sig. Linked within the thread is another thread put together by mfactal, a forum member. His thread deals with ordering from Dell US. even if your living outside the U.S. You may find the two threads helpful.

    one of the reasons IMO that it wasn't tagged with the name netbook is that it wanted a crowd who still wanted a notebook style but tagged it as ultra portable? to get the netbook crowd's attention

    Due to the failing backlight in my current 8 year old laptop, my wife OK'd my purchase of a netbook, AND a laptop. Sooooooo I am officially classifying my purchase of my M11X as a netbook purchase :D I just hope it gets here before Easter.
