I am having problems with my dvd drive. Some times it will not eject the disk when I push the button and when I do the computer will freeze for 10-20 seconds while it does nothing. I have updated to the latest driver on Dells website but that hasn't fixed it. Also when I am burning a dvd after the disk is complete my burning program will crash (CopytoDVD). Would this be a hardware or software problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i had this same problem after running an virtual pc style program. the only way i got it to fix was by installing the nvidia storage drivers, i may be uninstalling them again soon due to some other issues that might be popping up from having them installed but i suppose if you havnt installed them you could install them and see if it fixes it then uninstall them using the utility on the drivers page. dont know what system you have but i have an m17x r1 that ive been having the problems with but my issues could be from an extended list of other issues. hope this will help alittle atleast.
