    Yet another unimportant Catalyst release, for most of us at least (gamers), seems to be focused more on encoding with some game fixes here and there.

    Yea, Im using it right now. and for your info you need the Mobility Modder to use it. The original driver still don't support mobility driver.

    Yea mobility drivers are still "stuck" at 9.9 and by the looks of it its gonna stay that way. They only supported the mobility ati cards for a bit just to help win7 users get going.

    I have a problem with the new drivers. When i update from 9.10 to 9.11 mobility modder, I will have a plain grey textures on some buildings in Borderlands. Anyone experience the same problem?

    I experience bad performance in borderlands - how is your ATI system running the game maxed out? choppy or smooth all the time?

    No worries :p Although it seems (i think) that they are going to stop optimizing games for 3series, probably going to focus on 5series and 4series now.

    Bad but anticipated, doubt they can "support" three series at the same time. Maybe they will throw us a bone every now and then :p

    hi their known issue with 9.11 and borderlands 9.11 never fixed the problem....
    but 9.12 does ( supposidly) 9.12 is beta :) but reading the forums thiers some confusion with 9.12 as to driver details and if its any good.

    but have a look yourself and read some posts it might be what you need to fix the problem. :)

    The game is really choppy I would say. Wonder if its the driver/game problems or if its the card itself that do not have enough power. But AFAIK Borderlands should not be that demanding.

    Do the catalyst driver work on the M17X without being modded?

    I have the Nvidia cards and the only working drivers are modded ones or the Dell ones.

    Is ATI actually better now and their drivers work right away without being modded?

    The newer versions, including this one needs to be modded to work on notebooks, you wont notice any difference though so dont worry about it.
