    Ok,

I bought the old model of the m17x last year. I recently had some trouble and had to reinstall windows on it.

I followed the driver installation sequence, I merged the keyboard registry file, I installed the webcam fa driver, and everything just as indicated on the alienware site but:

My illuminated keyboard does not work. The keyboard functions, I can still type. I have access to all the other illumenated parts of the laptop.

I have gone into the command center utility and closed the current theme and started a new one. In the past this has worked. However, now it doesn't. I just don't get it.

Anybody else have this sort of trouble or a fix?
