I suspect the "for Dell" version would contain all the dell-generic bloatware. Check file sizes

I think its the other way around. I installed the DELL version and it does not have any bloatwares (Alienware stuffs) and drivers. The file size of the dell version is smaller compared to the other one.

    Thanks for info

Btw where did you find that download link? I checked dell drivers and downloads > operating system > download recovery image and don't see two options

EDIT: Possibly figured it out > Need to supply service tag # to get the list of options

Yes, when you supply your service tag, you get access to the OS image. You won't necessarily get two options. I only get one. Also, when you download the image, there is a manual process you need to go through to format and transfer the image to the USB drive. OTOH, if you use the "Create USB Recovery" option in the program list, you just plug in the USB thumb drive and Windows does the rest, and it creates install media for a fresh, out of the factory install with drivers and Dellienware software included. The only thing missing is the grey/silver alien on a bright white background wallpaper.

If you have two options, then the smaller of the two is straight Windows 10 with nothing else added and you'll need to download and install drivers from the Dell website.

I suspect that if you go with the default option of Windows Home, the website will give you both options, but if you upgrade to Windows 10 Pro (which I did), then you get only the base OS on Dell's website.
