Only 5 phases in total now?

As some of you know, i recently ordered and got my m15x..but iv always known that AW has 9 phases or something on their order status page right..but when i went through this..i had only 5 phases, the fifth one being "order shipped". Anyone else got this? Iv been noticing that everyone has gotten the normal 9 phases..perhaps they changed the phase system on their website? But members who ordered after me also had the normal phase system..weird?



Just in case you cant see the writing..here it is:


Phase 1: (Order Confirmation)
Your order has been received and is awaiting order confirmation. As part of our security procedures, all orders must be confirmed before they can be processed.



Phase 2: (Billing)
Your order has been validated and is waiting payment processing. While in this stage we are confirming any credit card and/or payment information for security purposes. Last time I checked it was 9 phases; well, last time I ordered

 

well i ordered last week and it was still 9 phases last time i checked on monday

 

Can you copy and paste these 5 phases here for us to see?

The laptops.. there used to be 2-3 building and testing/ integration phases.
I don't know what's changed...

 

eh? they still sell laptops! lol..maybe the testing/integration phases are included in the new phase 4..

Perhaps an AW Rep could let us know whats going on?

 

well i checked again a little bit ago and i still have 9 phases im on phase 9 for order shipped. thats really weird maybe if you really wanna know an answer you can always talk to CS on monday. but as for right now i still have 9 phases and so do alot of other people

 

Yeah, I ordered mine after you and still have 9 phases..maybe its a bug

no its not a bug..it says clearly that my order is in PHASE FIVE order SHIPPED..there are no more phases..see my main post..ya and i tested this thing on 3 different web browsers

look at your screenshot and then mine..dont u see a similarity in format? I mean YES i ordered from AW!!

Could be AW has some test's running for a new Phase system..

 

Alienware forgot to send me my Windows Vista disk with my m15x. I contacted CS and the next day they set up an order for the disk. When I checked the order status for that, it had that 5 phase page. I assumed that for items that aren't custom built, tested, etc they have this simpler phase page. This still doesn't explain why an m15x would have this page. I'd contact CS.

 

makes sense, they don't have to assemble and test a Vista disk, do they?

 

perhaps an AW rep can look into this for me please?

 

What are the specs on the laptop you ordered?

 

I just checked and i am at phase 6 and its still 9 phases, why dont you email them at [email protected].

I just ordered my m15x today (US website) and they still have 9 phases in their order status section. Im currently on phase 1 coz I ordered Sunday so its prolly gonna go through by Monday.

Im very excited with this laptop and im hoping I wont get any negative issues like some are experiencing here. <crossfingers>

Anyone who can tell me whats going on with the 5 phase thing? I seem to be the only person with this..

 

Best way to get to the bottom of this problem is calling AW CS, or PMing the AW representatives at this forum.

 

Phases... I've decided to buy a laptop. Called to the shop, ordered it. After about 20 hours, I got it home. One phase> Incomiiiiing!

 

i had called CS..but they said it was like that..and they were kind of confused i guess..perhaps the guy i was talking to did not know about this..

 

Uhh.. maybe they're giving you a refurbished one or something. I'd be worried if I wouldn't see a building phase when everyone else has one.

The M17X is going to be my 4th Alienware
i never encounterd any problem that has not been solved.

 

Really? I've encountered too many. Check audio in my sig + unresponsive keyboard (Roswell said they're working on a fix.. since February)

 

its not a problem..prolly just a different order status system...i dunno..but ya i agree with you..CS is great..and so is AW James..
