Do a HDtune test and compare it to others' 256 GB SSD tests. If it comes out normal, then something might have happened during the test. test again and see.

Honestly, you shouldn't worry about the Windows Experience scores, it tells you nothing concrete. Do some benchmarks and tests as THRUST suggested and compare them to the hardcores on this forum and you'll get a much more accurate picture with more useful information than a single arbitrary number supplied by Mircosoft :)

I ordered the dual SSDs in raid 0. Can't wait to see how it runs with Win 7.

yeah. it's really stange, as many others has a 7+ score, though my ssd is running fine, but I wonder what is it to cause this relative low score...

hope people with the same SSD can post their score~

acutaly there are many possible reason why your score is limited

window score are also limited by some feature lacking

like if you'r ssd lack some non important it might be in the under 5.9 capacitie bracket because of that

even thought it's perf lvl might be 7.2

just choose the "best performance" option, it will actually disable all the visual effects...

Control panel>performance information and tools>adjust visual effects>choose: adjust for best performance....then APPLY.

    lets see if it works.

I just adjusted it to best performance, and my hard drive score is still 5.4.
What the heck is wrong?? I do have about 20gb of filled space unaccounted for that I just cannot find, and yes I tried disk cleanup and all that. I have noticed even startup/shutdown takes alot longer than Vista, so something isn't right. Any advice? Thanks!

Aero visual effects being on should have zero effect on the hard disk score. My single 225 Crucial 128gb gets a 7.3 score in windows 7 with all visual effects on in my M1730
