Hey guys & gals,
I bought this 21" monitor from Alienware a couple months ago and it's been great!
But recently we had a power outage, and even though it was plugged into a power strip, the outage damaged my monitor.
The touch sensitive buttons on the right side of the screen don't light up now, and don't respond at all! This makes it so I can't change the brightness, contrast, and other settings of my monitor.![]()
I called up Alienware, but they said since I didn't buy the extended warranty, the standard warranty doesn't cover power outages. :S
So, I'm hoping I can get some help here. If anyone knows of even some software that would allow me to do the same thing (or at least brightness) that would be great.
Lastly, AW told me I could talk to their advanced support or whatever for about $60, but I thought I would try here first!
Thanks in advance for any help you can give![]()

Well, what I've done is go through the Nvidia Control Panel and changed the Brightness, Contrast, etc. through there. It's a good software fix, and with a program I already have
So unless someone has a better fix I think this is a case closed!
