Order Status Page Sucks

ok the alienware order status page sucks, it doesnt update the much. my m15x is on phase 4, entering phase 5 today which alienware confirmed when i called them. but the darn website still says Phase 2 which i had already passed.

who else had problems with this order status page?

Correct. I was in phase 6 all day Friday and was moved back to phase 5 Monday evening. AW support says not to worry, it's on schedule to be shipped 4/24. Right...

 

I'm still in Phase 4 and the guys from the German CS won't tell me when the parts arrive or whats going on ... they can tell me after I passed the ETA @ 28th....
that sucks!

I called the CS and the guy told me that they are waiting for the screens and that they will arrive the 25th and that my system will go into production next week ... but I still refuse to believe that! so lets see ... still wondering why the guys from the mail support declined to answer my question!

 

I think part of it is that phases 2-3-4 are all in-wait phases... your computer can be half built (somewhere around phase 6/7) but if there's a minor problem, and you need to have a part replaced, you get zipped right back to phase 4... or if there's something minor missing (like the remote, per-se) you're stuck at phase 4 till the stock comes in, even though your system is ready to go (phase 7/8).

same with billing, if there's even a minor billing hangup, or delay in transaction, you get stuck to phase 2, even though the ccard company has agreed on payment and everything has gone 'according to plan', the ccard company maybe hasn't done the *actual* cash transaction to AW, and thus you're stuck at phase 2.

it's my theory on why the phase page sucks so much... just seems to me people generally get stuck on phases 2/3/4 moreso than any other phase.

 

Spoke too soon. Yesterday evening moved from 6 to 5, and late this morning jumped to 8! Seems calling AW returns a more accurate status.

I've been on Phase 2 since 4/11. I called right now to ask why I'm still on Phase 2 and the Sales Rep told me it's on Phase 3, I just hope they can finally get to work on it now. The estimated Ship Date was 4/25 and it's 4/22 today, I doubt I'll get it soon. The Sales Rep told me they might ship it Tuesday but I'm doubtful. We'll see.

 

I was stuck on phase 3 for over a week until I called in. The CSR's reply was, "Oh my God, I don't know why you are still in phase 3". He said that he would fast-track me to phase 4, which occured the next day. Currently I'm at phase 8. The dang thing just won't progress to "shipped". If they do ship today, I'll probably get it Saturday. If not, will have to wait till Monday.

 

I was told by a CSR that mine would ship a week and a half ago. Still hasn't happened yet.
