Phase 7 and 8 today
-
The system is undergoing the final stage of the Alienware 200-Point Quality Control Process. An Alienware Quality Inspector is in charge of inspecting your system from top to bottom for any obvious or latent defects. Our Inspectors are seasoned technicians/engineers and are very experienced in the art of perfection. Note: If the system does not pass any of our performance standards, the system may have to go back to an earlier production phase and it may slightly delay your order.
GOOD DEAL!!!!
Shouldnt be long now! -
I just checked when I got home and I'm on phase 9.. that is just insane, lol
-
The status page has been really weird for me. Took forever to get to phase 3. Was on 2 for about a week. Then it was on Phase 4 for another week and some. Went back to phase 3. Then straight to 5. That was friday, now it's phase 6.
-
Another change
Phase 3: (Payment Processed)
Payment has been received and the order is now in queue for production.Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
Apparently I'm in phase 9 now.
With companies like FedEx usually overquoting on shipping times my 3~5 day ground shipping hopefully I can expect this thing by Friday.Plus, I live literally on the boarder. >>; (Canadian>MI Boarder)

WOW Just a little over 12 hours later skipped Phase 4 went to:
Phase 5: (Production Phase 1 - Assembly)
Your system is being hand-built by an Alienware Assembly Technician. Alienware takes great pride in building our systems, as our motto reflects, "build it as if it were your own." The assembly stage can take some time, as all the components and cabling in the system is carefully installed for greater upgrade flexibility and thermal airflows. Every Assembly Technician has been trained and qualified to Alienware standards. We pride ourselves on giving you a high performance computer system!Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
i moved from 3 to 5. Ordered on friday and its already being built =)
-
-
no, i went back to phase 3 and then now im back to phase 5
-
-
yea, i was worried that i may have been billed twice but that doesnt seem to be the case. regardless it was a little disheartening to go from phase 4 to phase 3 but ive jumped to 5 now so thats great. Cant wait to get it. when i get it i will do a full review
-
just remember i was in phase 5 for 24 days
-
Phase 6: (Production Phase 2 - Integration)
This stage includes the installation of the operating system, drivers and any applications that are specific to the system you ordered. Our Alienware Integration Technician will also install any demos, benchmark utilities, and burn-in software necessary to correctly monitor your systems performance. These functions are performed by AlienFactory, a proprietary software designed by Alienware for our valued customers. This is also the first stage of the Alienware 200-Point Quality Control Process.Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
Unlike MrDj's extended stay in phase 5 (which would be a little frustrating), I seemed to have rocketed through phases 5 through 9 both times I've ordered an AW. Phase 4 has always been the longest stage for me.
-
wow, mine was built even faster. Im on phase 8 and its been 6 days. I ordered last Friday and it should ship out tomorrow.
-
Sitting at home right now.
It was next day shipping. Prepared to ship on The 17th. Fedex picked it up on the 18th. Got it today. -
-
This was the free 3~5 day shipping (they might have had a deal at the time, not sure if it's standard or not) -
it can take upto 5 days in production + 200 point jokeso unless you are receiving an already built computer that has been cancelled by someone else then it would be almost impossible for it to be in phase 8.
what day was the money taken out of your account. nothing happens until AW has the money cleared in their account. once the money has cleared you then and only then join the Q for the pulling of your components.
im sorry if this might of burst your bubble as i know what its like getting more excited each day you wait but im only warning you so you dont get too upset when it doesnt arrive when you think it will.
NOW!
please prove me wrong and ill eat my words. this will be the biggest step in the right direction for AW to show they are pulling their finger out and getting systems out to the eagerly awaiting customers.
good luck -
I am now on:
Phase 8: (Production Phase 4 - Quality Control/Shipping Prep)

blimey, whats happening with aliemware, are they working overtime or something.
i just hope you get it really soon. good luck. -
I too just hit phase 8 when I checked about 10 minutes ago I ordered mine on Wednesday at about 3:00PM MST
-
now that is a bit tooooooooo quick. -
So its either that or there system is reporting wrong info. -
Pilot, you may have been fortunate enough to have ordered the same specs as someone who had just cancelled. In that case, your machine had effectively been in production before you even ordered it!
-
Now on phase 8, I'm hoping for it to ship out today
-
I just called. Mine went back a Phase and Custermer support seid it should be in phase 5 in 48 Hours.
-
good luck everyone and fingers crossed you get them early next week.
-
Been on Phase 8 for a day and a half, hopefully I'll go to 9 on Monday.
-
