I'm just sharing all the awful experience that I have gone through. Not too sure if I'm the unlucky person to have faced with this kind of trouble...

It's right, ordering by phone indeed save you up to hundreds of buck, but there is a downside - Time consuming!

I ordered my M17x last Thursday, but the sales rep mess up my order by giving me the wrong price with the wrong spec.

Last Friday, I called them up to fix the order. And what? XXXX department direct me to YYYY department, YYYY department direct me to ZZZZ department... I spent almost 3 hours just repeating these useless loops. I got so frustrated, and yell and shout at one of the staff from the Customer Care (I'm sorry for the unlucky staff there), seeming things had gone serious, that fella finally direct me to the Desperate Customer Request Department and talk to one of the manager there.

Apparently, things seems to have solved - He fixed my order. But there is another problem occurred - My original payment was blocked and was unable to used as the payment for the new order, everything was put into pending mode AGAIN... They promised me that they will release the hold as soon as possible, and everything will be taken care of "within 24 hours".

Until today... I've got really really frustrated, and call them once again. After going through the long-endless conversation, the order was finally completed.

I requested for some compensation by "threatening" them that I will cancel the order if they don't. Finally, these are the agreement between us:
    - They gave me a free upgrade to Premium Warranty
    - They gave me a free NBD shipping
    - Free upgrade to 500 GB Hdd
    - I was given a voucher worth $100
    - They will push the production by rushing the manufacturing factory

With all the trouble I have gone through, and with $1935 ($2068 includes tax), these are the specs I have got:
    - i7 720Qm processor
    - Dual memory HD 4870 CrossfireX
    - 1920 x 1200 (1200p) LCD Panel
    - Of course, 500 GB HDD
    - And other specs are the same

Luckily I'm not that rushing for the laptop. So I think that it is still worth a little to have the compensation that they have given me

ya it sucks that first rep messed you up....didnt she send you your order while you were on the phone with her ? When i ordered mine (and got an epic deal) we went over the specs like twice plus she confirmed it with me by sending me the finalized order sheet to check on before we got off the phone. Calling in is definitely the way to go though even if you have some some difficulty. Glad it worked out for you and you got some cool goodies for free !

I don't know how and why she did it, but when I received the confirmation email, the specs listed there were different than the quotation that she's made.

LoL, I dropped the RGB LED as it will delay my shipping date for yet another week... Basically my 1935 is without the RGB LED
