Orderig M11x, question about payment?

Need some help guys.

I am ordering a M11x via Dell phone order. I cancelled an order with Newegg last Friday for a laptop to get the M11x instead. The money on the cancel has not hit my bank yet. I know that Dell/Alienware does not charge the amount until the laptop ships. But my question is whether during the order do they charge the full amount initially? Or just a smaller amount to make sure its available?

I am sure the full amount is charged originally as a pending charge that just expires and then is resubmitted once shipped. But I thought I would ask.

Full amount, it's left as a temp charge and finally charged when the notebook ships.
