Hi. I live in Singapore and wanted to order the M17x-R2, since it's not available here yet. I just wanted to find out a few things:
-Will the warranty still be valid?
-How long will it take to ship?
-How much will it cost to ship(approximately)?
-Should I just wait for it to be available here?
-Approx. how long will it take for the M17x to be available here?
Sorry for asking so many questions. Thanks in advance.

I would advise against ordering overseas (even though personally would do it
) but since you are probably asking for a more rational answer:
The biggest problem is the support and maintenance. -
If it comes with a valid international warranty there is no issue. I bought my E6400 as a refurb from a reseller in the UK and the ownership was automatically transferred. I got an e-mail from Dell US tag-team saying i was listed as the owner now. I called Dell support here and everything was fine, i've been dealing with them now to get resume from sleep freeze sorted and got no questions about where i got it or anything.
The real matter is if they'll ship it overseas. I know Dell won't do it, that's why i had to look for a reseller. -
Here is a great thread written by mfractal, It might come in handy

You biggest problem is going to be customer support. If you encounter an issue it may take months to get the issue resolved if you have to send the unit back to Dell. As far as shipping, it may be a month or two before you recieve your unit. I don't have any clue on the costs, but they will be even greater with customs charges if they apply to you.
You may consider waiting till they are available in your area, I have no idea how long it will be, maybe 1-2 months. But you may consider waiting till the new GPU's arrive. Hopefully in the next two months.
I think part if it revolves around what Dell decides to do about the power issue encountered with the 920XM CPU.
Sorry I can't be more helpful, I've always ordered from Dell US since I live stateside.
