I was bored today so I decided to push my Q9000 even further than my previous 2.45GHz overclock. Because it was already running hot at 2.45GHz I used a trick...I undervolted it to 1.163V from 1.275V.

It's now running at 2.5GHz. (I went for this because it's at a FSB of 1333MHz, a key frequency that quite a few desktop processors run at so it appeared to be one that would be very stable) I've just ran a 10 minute blast on OCCT with a large data set to stress the whole bus to make sure everything was stable, which it is. :)

The other good news is that the highest any of my cores hit was 79C, well within temperature limits (Even 79C was for a split second, it dropped down to 78C afterwards). This is without a doubt due to the undervolting. I could probably push it further at 1.275V but the temps would be too high under load for my liking.

Out of interest what overclocks are others getting with a Q9000? (Either on the M17 or M17x, seeming as both will be FSB overclocking) I think I've been lucky enough to get a Q9000 that likes to overclock.
